Fishing has been slow this year. I don’t know (probably don’t want to) what the Once Great State of California does with all of its tax money, but these liberal politicians need to be eradicated from our government. The fish hatchery is only using 2 of its 10 fish runs. Two runs of Steelhead and Zero Salmon. Hell, we can’t even keep a Salmon on the Mad River anymore. Looks like the same is coming for Steelhead in the near future! Vote for Conservatives in government!

Last Friday and Saturday was the best so far this year. Now, it is slow but steady if you put in the hours. I spent 7 hours last Sunday, and saw several caught, but never hooked up. Today, Tuesday, I was on the river for 2 1/2 hrs, landed about a 6 lb hatchery buck, and went home.
