Because the metal orchard fence is heavy, it must be attached to to steel T-posts. Typically these posts are spaced 8-10 ft. apart. Since the polypropylene fence weighs significantly less per foot, it can be attached to lengths of rebar, which are much less expensive and make excellent posts. Posts for the polypropylene fence can easily be spaced 10-15 feet apart. This means less posts will be used to install the polypropylene fence.
